Soccer Game Preview: Copperas Cove vs. Horn

The Copperas Cove Bulldawgs will face off against the Horn Jaguars at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Copperas Cove will be strutting in after a victory while Horn will be coming in after a loss.

Copperas Cove will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals last Friday, then bounced right back against Robinson on Monday. Copperas Cove was the clear victors by a 6-3 margin over Robinson. The result was nothing new for the Bulldawgs, who have now won seven contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Robinson with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emili Taclibon (3), Amaya Griffin, Trinity Garcia, and Ailene Rodarte.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Horn was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They came up short against Nimitz, falling 5-1.

Horn's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Copperas Cove, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5-3 record this season.
