Basketball Recap: Ridgeview Now 13-1 over Last 14 Games

Ridgeview hadn't done well against Orange Park recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Ridgeview Panthers secured a 51-45 W over the Orange Park Raiders. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Raiders are ranked 141st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ridgeview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Narissa Blocton, who posted 19 points and four steals. The contest was Blocton's 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nacoya Blocton, who earned ten points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

Orange Park's loss came despite strong showings from Ella Crowe and Trinity Dinkins. Crowe had 15 points and seven boards, while Dinkins put up 12 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gabby Mallory, who scored seven points in addition to seven boards and four blocks.

Ridgeview has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points per game. As for Orange Park, their record is now 13-10.

Ridgeview will square off against North Florida Educational Institute at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ridgeview will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak. As for Orange Park, they will take on Ribault at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ribault is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.2 points per game this season.
