Volleyball Recap: Bloomington Takes a Loss

Bloomington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Arroyo Valley Hawks. The Bruins were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hawks from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Bloomington was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-9, 25-14.

Arroyo Valley had a senior duo take command as Alahna Sanchez had 26 digs and five aces and Monserrat Arredondo had four aces and two blocks. Sanchez has been hot, having posted 14 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Bloomington's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Arroyo Valley, their record is now 11-6.

Bloomington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Colton on the 18th. As for Arroyo Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Carter on the 18th.
