Basketball Recap: Oakland Tech Piles Up the Points Against Mcclymonds

Oakland Tech won the last time they faced McClymonds and things went their way on Friday too. The Oakland Tech Bulldogs breezed by the McClymonds Warriors to the tune of 78-48. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while the Warriors are ranked 531st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oakland Tech's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Saddiq Alarbesh, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 15 points and six boards. The dominant performance gave Alarbesh a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ardarius Grayson, who posted 12 points and eight assists.

The victory made it two in a row for Oakland Tech and bumps their season record up to 14-4. As for McClymonds, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-12.

Oakland Tech wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 85-59 loss against Inderkum on the 20th. McClymonds has also already played their next contest, a 70-19 win against Oakland Military Institute on the 20th.
