Basketball Recap: Livingston Christian Comes Up Short

If Livingston Christian was riding high fresh off their 79-24 takedown of Auburn Hills Christian last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Livingston Christian Falcons took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whitmore Lake Trojans on Friday. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Whitmore Lake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nate Dillon led the charge by dropping a double-double on 25 points and 11 boards. Dillon's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Isaac Fair, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds.

Livingston Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-5-1 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Whitmore Lake, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.

Livingston Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Morrice at 7:30 p.m. on February 11th. Whitmore Lake has already played their next match, a 90-39 win against Lutheran on the 4th.
