Lake Travis unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Liberty Hill Panthers by a score of 9-7 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Cavaliers have suffered since February 24, 2024.

Regan Moore and Haley Whitefield did some serious damage despite the final result: Moore went a perfect3-for-3 with three RBI and one double, while Whitefield went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
