Batavia waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Greece Olympia Spartans as they made off with a 78-54 win. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Spartans are ranked 487th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Batavia's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.8 points per game. As for Greece Olympia, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
