Volleyball Recap: Parrish Community Takes a Loss

Parrish Community's tournament run continued when they took on Auburndale on Saturday. The Bulls fell just short of the Bloodhounds by a score of 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Parrish Community sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 23-25, 15-5.

Leading Auburndale to victory were Kristilyn Fields and Madison Whitmore. Fields had 13 digs and three aces, while Whitmore had 12 digs and one assist. Those three aces gave Fields a new career-high.

Parrish Community's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Auburndale, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Parrish Community didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Sumner on the 13th. As for Auburndale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Lemon Bay on the 13th.
