Volleyball Recap: Mitchell Beats Fivay for Their Third Straight Victory + How To Watch

Mitchell entered their tilt with Fivay on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Falcons. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-19, 25-15.

Mitchell's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lily Unger, who had 15 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Unger has posted over her last six matches. Emma Hatzistefanou was another key player, getting four digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Mitchell was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive games.

Mitchell's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Fivay, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Mitchell will head out on the road to take on Angeline Academy of Innovation at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fivay, they will host Pasco at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
