Baseball Recap: Westlake Comes Up Short

Westlake was the 10-3 winner over Nanuet when they last played one another back in April of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats fell just short of the Golden Knights by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Westlake's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Nanuet, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Westlake will host Byram Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Nanuet, they will head out to challenge Albertus Magnus at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.64 runs per game on average), something the Golden Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of.
