Basketball Recap: Laurel Skates Past High Point with Ease

Laurel won the last time they faced High Point and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Laurel Spartans claimed a resounding 99-26 victory over the High Point Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Laurel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jermaine Taylor led the charge by putting up 17 points. Taylor is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Christian Brown, who posted 16 points.

Laurel's record now sits at 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laurel will welcome Great Mills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for High Point, they will look to defend their home court on December 17th against Parkdale at 7:00 p.m.
