Preview: Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles vs. Clarksburg Coyotes

Seneca Valley and Clarksburg are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles will be playing at home against the Clarksburg Coyotes at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Seneca Valley's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine matches.

Seneca Valley pushed their score all the way to 62 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Gaithersburg 68-62. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (55), Seneca Valley still had to take the loss.

Jaysen Moise put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 25 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That was a full 40.3% of Seneca Valley's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Korey Trone, who scored 13 points.

Meanwhile, Clarksburg scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They came out on top against Northwest by a score of 66-59. The win was some much needed relief for Clarksburg as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Seneca Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Clarksburg, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-16.
