Watervliet had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They blew past the Cairo-Durham Mustangs 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cannoneers also won the last time the pair played  back in September of 2023.
 Watervliet never let Cairo-Durham on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-17,  27-25.
 Tyleonna Edge paced Watervliet's offense, picking up nine kills. Edge got some help from  Sophia Rogers and her 22 assists.  Gabby Dolan controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Watervliet's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Cairo-Durham, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record  this season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming  contests. Watervliet will head out to  square off against Rensselaer  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Cairo-Durham, they will venture away from home to  face off against Middleburgh  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
