With a playoff win on the line, South Beloit rose to the challenge on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 37-6 victory over the Alden-Hebron Green Giants. The result was nothing new for the Sobos, who have now won six contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

South Beloit was led to victory by Landen Reed and Jonah Martinez. Reed threw for 206 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes, while Martinez rushed for 73 yards and one score on only five carries. The dominant performance also gave Reed a new career-high in rushing yards (23).

South Beloit's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Alden-Hebron, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

South Beloit will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Green Giants: the pair will be back at it again later today.
