Bernabe Astorga posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. He struck out 13 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Astorga's effort led Blue Island Eisenhower over Shepard and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
