Softball Recap: El Camino Real Find Success

The home team had won the previous three meetings between El Camino Real and Chaminade, and El Camino Real kept the tradition alive. The El Camino Real Royals skirted past the Chaminade Eagles 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Royals have posted since March 11, 2024.

Sarah Delgado was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Talya Haim, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

El Camino Real has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. Chaminade is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Coming up, El Camino Real will be playing in front of their home fans against San Fernando at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. El Camino Real is facing San Fernando at the right time seeing as San Fernando is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Chaminade, they will head out to face off against Oaks Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
