Basketball Recap: Dominique Johnson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Jenkins over Heritage

If Jenkins was riding high fresh off their 66-43 takedown of Bethune-Bowman last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jenkins Warriors fell 60-53 to the Heritage Patriots on Monday.

Jenkins lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Dominique Johnson, who posted eight points along with six boards and five steals. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last four games he's played. Jordon Massey was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.

Jenkins has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Heritage, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-10.

Jenkins has already played their next matchup (against Islands), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Heritage has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Grovetown.
