Recap: Trenton Central Tornadoes vs. Kennedy Knights
The Trenton Central Tornadoes were the 59-45 winner over the Kennedy Knights when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Trenton Central was the victim of a tough 53-29 loss at the hands of Kennedy on Saturday. Trenton Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-9.
My'Shayla Clancy continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Kennedy, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 11 rebounds. Clancy hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Zahniya Castillo , who scored eight points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Trenton Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Kennedy, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Trenton Central will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against West Windsor-Plainsboro North at 5:15 p.m. on January 2, 2024. As for Kennedy, they will play host again and welcome Bergen Tech, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
