Baseball Recap: Chowchilla Tribe vs. Yosemite Badgers

Chowchilla can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Yosemite Badgers as the Chowchilla Tribe made off with a 10-2 victory. Winning may never get old, but Chowchilla sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Ryan Deatherage was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). Deatherage has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. Deatherage was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kyle Sanchotena, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Tristan Beardsley, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Like Chowchilla, Yosemite also got a great game from a two-way player: Preston Radliff. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Radliff was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a triple, a run, and an RBI.
