Baseball Recap: Darien Comes Up Short

Darien blew Westhill out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Westhill got their revenge. The Blue Wave fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Blue Wave have suffered against the Vikings since May 11, 2017.

Darien's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Westhill, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

Coming up, Westhill will square off against Ridgefield at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Darien will be paying especially close attention to the Vikings' game: after the Vikings face off against Immaculate, they'll take on Darien again at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
