Football Recap: Cornerstone Academy Comes Up Short

The Cornerstone Academy Cougars came up short against the Eastland Christian Hurricanes on Friday and fell 13-6.

Darren Johnson threw for 100 yards on seven of 27 attempts. Jonathan Park was his top target, picking up 73 receiving yards.

Cornerstone Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Eastland Christian, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Cornerstone Academy and Eastland Christian will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Cougars will face off against rival Saint Francis Catholic Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Eastland Christian is set to take on their familiar foe Calvary Chapel Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
