After a string of three wins, Woodmont's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Easley Green Wave by a score of 6-4. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Green Wave earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Woodmont's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-5. As for Easley, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Woodmont has already played their next match, a 7-6 loss against J.L. Mann on the 25th. As for Easley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-8 defeat against Science Hill on the 21st.
