Baseball Recap: Holliston Comes Up Short

Holliston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Westwood Wolverines, falling 9-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-5 back in April.

Holliston saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Maiorano, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. Maiorano is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Drew Kafka also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Holliston's record now sits at 13-9. As for Westwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Holliston will challenge Bellingham at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Westwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
