Recap: Oxford Chargers vs. Riverdale Baptist Crusaders
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 66-26, which was the final score in Oxford's's tilt against Riverdale Baptist on Friday. While losing is never fun, Oxford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 158th in Mississippi, while Riverdale Baptist is ranked 25th in Maryland).
Aliyah Eason continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Riverdale Baptist, scoring 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Janiya Ennis, who scored 11 points.
Oxford has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Riverdale Baptist, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oxford is on the road again on Saturday and play against Bishop O'Connell at 3:15 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Riverdale Baptist, they will challenge Bishop McNamara at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
