Recap: DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals vs. Redbank Valley Bulldogs
It was a good run, but the DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to Redbank Valley 60-54. While losing is never fun, DuBois Central Catholic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 412th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 77th).
Redbank Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kieran Fricko out in front who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. Breckin Minich was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
DuBois Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Redbank Valley, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-1.
DuBois Central Catholic will challenge the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Redbank Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gremlins at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Karns City's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests.
