Recap: Waterville vs. Entiat

On Friday, Entiat put the finishing touches on their 6th blowout victory of the season. They were fully in charge, breezing past Waterville 68-24.

Entiat's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 54 first-half points. Waterville countered with 8 points, leaving the score at 54-8 going into the half. Although Entiat wound up losing the second-half battle, they still had enough in reserve to win the war.

Junior Case Crutcher, who picked up 222 yards on the ground, was a major factor in Entiat's success. If you haven't heard Crutcher's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past seven games. Freshman Jack Diehm was in the mix, too, providing Entiat with four touchdowns. The win was the 4th in a row for them, as they raised their record to 6-1. Waterville are on a four-game losing streak that has brought their record down to 1-4.

Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Entiat will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Odessa. Entiat's defense better steel itself: Odessa are averaging 76.33 points per game. As for Waterville, they will face off against Yakama Nation Tribal.
