Softball Game Preview: Master's Academy Eagles vs. Tavares Bulldogs

The Master's Academy Eagles will head out to face off against the Tavares Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Master's Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

Master's Academy lost 17-1 to Geneva on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Tavares beat Mount Dora 9-5 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

The team relied heavily on Aliyah Cantu-Lopez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmine Lawrence, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Tavares now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Master's Academy, they dropped their record down to 10-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Master's Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Tavares in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 7-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
