Recap: Cliffside Park Raiders vs. Ridgefield Park Scarlets
The Cliffside Park Raiders were the 46-41 winner over the Ridgefield Park Scarlets when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Cliffside Park fell 49-41 to Ridgefield Park on Tuesday. Cliffside Park has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cliffside Park lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jerelz Ortiz, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ken Hunter, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Cliffside Park has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season. As for Ridgefield Park, they pushed their record up to 11-12 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cliffside Park will take on Dumont at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ridgefield Park, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Waldwick at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th.
