Basketball Recap: Simmons Comes Up Short

Simmons and East Marion squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Simmons had to settle for second. They fell to the East Marion Eagles 67-62.

Simmons' loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for East Marion, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

While Simmons had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
