Softball Game Preview: Forest Park Bruins vs. Colonial Forge Eagles

The Forest Park Bruins will venture away from home to challenge the Colonial Forge Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Forest Park is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Forest Park had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Woodbridge on Tuesday. The Bruins were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Vikings. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won four contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Colonial Forge came up short against North Stafford on Wednesday and fell 9-5. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost five in a row.

Colonial Forge's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Forest Park, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Forest Park skirted past Colonial Forge 3-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
