Baseball Recap: Valley Mills Takes a Loss

Valley Mills and Graford squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Valley Mills had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Rabbits by a score of 4-3. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rabbits earlier this season, when they won 6-1.

Valley Mills saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryson Bell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Jayden Gonzales also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Valley Mills' loss dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Graford, they moved to 11-9 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Valley Mills beat the Rabbits by a score of 6-1 on Friday.
