Softball Recap: Lincoln County Has No Trouble Against Hillcrest

Lincoln County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Hillcrest, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Lincoln County Falcons were the clear victor by a 14-1 margin over the Hillcrest Patriots on Monday. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 9-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Hana Corder was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Ava Harris, who went 4-for-5 with five RBI and one double.

The win got Lincoln County back to even at 1-1. As for Hillcrest, they moved to 7-7-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, Lincoln County and Hillcrest will both be playing Choctaw County the next time they take the field. Lincoln County will head out to face Choctaw County at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, while Hillcrest will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
