Baseball Game Preview: Paul Cuffee vs. Classical Purple

Paul Cuffee will head out on the road to square off against the Classical Purple at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Paul Cuffee is looking for their season's first win.

Paul Cuffee came up short against Tiverton last Monday, falling 17-1.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Classical, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over Davies Career & Tech on Wednesday. The Purple haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Classical got a great performance from Joseph Payamps as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Andrew Morales, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Asher Westberg-Rubin, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

Classical's record now sits at 2-11. As for Paul Cuffee, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.
