Football Recap: Logan Comes Up Short Despite Quinn Pingree's Big Defensive Game

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Logan can now relate to. They lost 41-21 to the Richfield Wildcats on Friday. The Grizzlies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

Despite the loss, Logan still got an impressive performance from Easton Favero, who threw for 289 yards and a pair of TDs.

Even if they lost, Logan's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Quinn Pingree was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

It was another big night for Trey Yardley, who rushed for 173 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry for Richfield. Yardley also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making four total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception. Cord White was another key player, rushing for 37 yards and one score.

Logan is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7. As for Richfield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Logan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Richfield, they will challenge Morgan at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans' defense has only allowed 14.4 points per game this season, so the Wildcats' offense will have their work cut out for them.
