 If Clover Hill was feeling good  off their  18-0 takedown of Richmond City School of the Arts last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Clover Hill Cavaliers fell just short of the Midlothian Trojans by a score of  5-4 on Thursday. Clover Hill was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Midlothian apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in March.
 Clover Hill got a good showing from  Robert Custalo, who   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 At the plate,  Carter Burcume was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Clover Hill's defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 7-5. As for Midlothian, the  win was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.
 Clover Hill will head out on the road to  face off against  Huguenot at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Clover Hill is facing Huguenot at the right time seeing as Huguenot is stuck on  a  four-game losing streak. As for Midlothian, they will look to defend their home field  on Tuesday against Cosby at 5:00  p.m. Cosby's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7  runs per game  this season, so Midlothian's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
