Sharyland suffered their closest loss since May 3, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Pioneer Diamondbacks by a score of 9-7. The Rattlers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Nic Valdez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Luis Cienfuegos also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Sharyland's loss dropped their record down to 15-5-2. As for Pioneer, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-10.

Looking ahead, Sharyland will take on Vela at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rattlers 2.4, the Sabercats 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Pioneer, they will face off against Rowe at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Diamondbacks surely won't give up without a fight.
