Softball Recap: Ichabod Crane Riders vs. Camden Blue Devils

Ichabod Crane had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They beat the Camden Blue Devils on Saturday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-4. Ichabod Crane's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Kari Graziano spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on ten hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in nine consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Makayla Walsh was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Emma Holmberg was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Ichabod Crane's win bumped their record up to 24-0. As for Camden, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-4.

Ichabod Crane will challenge Marlboro Central at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Ichabod Crane is looking to tack on another W to their ten-game streak on the road dating back to last season. Camden does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
