Softball Game Preview: Grant Pacers vs. Franklin Yellowjackets

Grant is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Franklin a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Grant Pacers will look to defend their home field against the Franklin Yellowjackets at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Grant lost 27-11 to McNair on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Franklin got themselves on the board against River Islands on Tuesday, but River Islands never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Riptide with a sharp 12-0 win.

Angelica Torres was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Aliciana Young, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Franklin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .565. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Franklin now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Grant, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
