Preview: Marion County Red Raiders vs. Good Hope Raiders
The Marion County Red Raiders's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Good Hope Raiders at 1:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Marion County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while Good Hope is ranked fourth).
Marion County suffered their biggest loss since December 4, 2023 on Saturday. They were beaten by Hamilton 75-48. Marion County has struggled against Hamilton recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Good Hope can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent game last Saturday. They blew past Priceville 67-46. Winning may never get old, but Good Hope sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Marion County has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Good Hope, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-2.
Marion County took a serious blow against Good Hope in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 79-24. Can Marion County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
