Softball Recap: Milford Central Wins Going Away Against Worcester

While Milford Central put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Worcester. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Wolverines with a sharp 17-0 win. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Kara Mertz was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Mertz is crushing it when it comes to RBI: she's brought in at least three every time she's taken the field this season. Bella Garlick was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Milford Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .793. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Milford Central now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Worcester, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Coincidentally, Milford Central and Worcester will both be playing Morris Central the next time they take the field. The Wolverines will head out to face the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
