Basketball Recap: Pisgah Picks Up Tenth Consecutive Win

Pisgah entered their tilt with Franklin on Tuesday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They blew past the Franklin Panthers, posting a 65-32 win. The Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 21 points or more this season.

Chandler Lowery was her usual excellent self, putting up 15 points in addition to eight assists and five boards. She has been hot recently, having also posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Rylee Campbell, who went 7 for 15 en route to 16 points.

Pisgah smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 14 consecutive matches.

Despite the loss, Franklin saw an underclassman step up: freshman Bristol Brooks posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Foster, who earned five points.

Pisgah pushed their record up to 17-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.2 points per game. As for Franklin, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Pisgah wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 53-41 win against West Henderson on the 31st. As for Franklin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-20 victory against North Henderson on the 31st.
