Philipsburg-Osceola is 0-3 against Bellwood-Antis since November of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Mountaineers will be playing at home against the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Philipsburg-Osceola is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 27.2 points per game this season.

Last Friday, Philipsburg-Osceola came up short against Bald Eagle Area and fell 21-14. The contest marked the Mountaineers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Colton Chapman put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 85 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Bellwood-Antis hadn't beaten Tyrone on the road since August 27, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Blue Devils enjoyed a cozy 26-7 victory over the Golden Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.

Philipsburg-Osceola better keep an eye on Alex McCartney. He was instrumental in Bellwood-Antis' win, rushing for 149 yards and three scores while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. McCartney is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 104 every time he's taken the field this season. Chase Plummer got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Bellwood-Antis was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 255 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Bellwood-Antis didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jeffrey Waite and Plummer. Plummer got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Philipsburg-Osceola's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Bellwood-Antis, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.

Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Chapman and McCartney. Chapman just won't slow down this season and has run in 11 touchdowns while averaging 86.6 rushing yards per game. McCartney has been a dominant force too and has run in 10 touchdowns while averaging 126.6 rushing yards per game.
