Football Recap: Polk County Takes a Loss

Polk County lost against Mitchell back in November of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wolverines took a blow against the Mountaineers, falling 39-7. The matchup marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Polk County and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Mitchell, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Polk County is set to take on their familiar foe Mountain Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Loreynzo Sanchez and Ervine Rodriguez. Meanwhile, Mitchell will challenge rival Owen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
