Volleyball Recap: Andover Snags Eighth Victory in Last Ten Games

The Andover Golden Warriors made easy work of the Newburyport Clippers on Monday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-16, 25-22.

Andover got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Farah Berty out in front who had 17 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Berty has posted since back in September. Jessie Wang also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Andover was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 32 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Andover has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Newburyport, their loss dropped their record down to 15-5.

Andover wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Shrewsbury on the 22nd. As for Newburyport, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Hamilton-Wenham Regional on the 22nd.
