Football Game Preview: Lewis Mills Spartans vs. Tolland Eagles + Official Tickets

Lewis Mills is 0-5 against Tolland since November of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Spartans will venture away from home to challenge the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Lewis Mills has given up an average of 32 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Lewis Mills came up short against East Catholic and fell 42-35. Even if the Spartans couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Despite the loss, Lewis Mills got top-tier performance from Mason Scanlon, who rushed for 106 yards and two TDs. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Gryfn Kobylarz, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Tolland faced off against Avon on Friday. The Eagles received a blow as they fell 29-12 to the Falcons.

Lewis Mills will have to contain Caleb Graham as he made an impact in Tolland's last game. He threw for 200 yards and six touchdowns, and also rushed for 36 yards. Graham also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making 14 total tackles.

Lewis Mills' record now sits at 1-4. As for Tolland, their record is now 0-5.

Lewis Mills took a serious blow against Tolland when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 42-6. Thankfully for the Spartans, Destin Wood (who rushed for 210 yards and three scores while picking up 7.8 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
