Baseball Recap: Baldwin Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Baldwin can now relate to. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Suwannee Bulldogs on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Indians have lost by exactly five runs.

Kage Waits made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Chase Staley, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double.

Baldwin's loss dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Suwannee, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

While Baldwin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
