Softball Recap: North Newton Finds Playoff Glory Versus North White

North Newton had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the North White Vikings get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won six in a row.

The result came thanks to Sydney Rainford's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 16 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 17 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Caylee Oxley was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted over her last ten games.
