Softball Recap: George Washington Comes Up Short

After soaring to 18 runs the game before, George Washington was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Albans Red Dragons. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

George Washington saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natali Tomblin, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.

George Washington's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for St. Albans, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. George Washington will challenge rival Hurricane at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, St. Albans is set to take on their familiar foe Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
