Softball Game Preview: Wissahickon Trojans vs. Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials

Wissahickon is 1-8 against Plymouth Whitemarsh since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Trojans will host the Colonials at 3:45 p.m. Wissahickon has given up an average of 8.9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Wissahickon's offense. They lost 17-0 to Upper Dublin on Tuesday. The Trojans' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Wissahickon saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gianna Trerotola, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Plymouth Whitemarsh was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They fell 4-1 to East. The contest marked the Colonials' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Emily Dobrowolski made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one double.

Plymouth Whitemarsh's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6. As for Wissahickon, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.
