Basketball Recap: Farragut Piles Up the Points Against Sequoyah

Farragut won the last time they faced Sequoyah and things went their way on Saturday too. The Farragut Admirals blew past the Sequoyah Chiefs, posting a 69-20 win. The Admirals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season.

Farragut was led to victory by Dominic Vanacker and Reid Vining. Vanacker went 6 of 8 on his way to 14 points, while Vining posted 12 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Britton Lewis, who put up seven points and five rebounds.

Farragut is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Sequoyah, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Farragut will welcome Karns at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sequoyah, they will host Eagleton College & Career Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Eagleton College & Career Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Sequoyah surely won't give up without a fight.
